ConnectLove Secures SEIS Advance Assurance from HMRC — and Our Apps Are Live
A turning point for ConnectLove.
Today marks a turning point for ConnectLove. HMRC has granted Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) Advance Assurance for ConnectLove Ltd — and our Android app is now live on Google Play.
Key milestones — May 2026
- SEIS Advance Assurance granted by HMRC — investors eligible for 50% income tax relief
- Android app live on Google Play — available for download now
- iOS app submitted to Apple App Store — review decision expected within days
- Web application fully live at connectlove.uk since late 2025
What SEIS Means for Investors
HMRC's SEIS Advance Assurance means UK angel investors can now claim 50% income tax relief on investments in ConnectLove, up to £200,000 per tax year — one of the most generous tax reliefs available to private investors in the UK. Investors also pay no capital gains tax on any profit they make when they exit.
This makes ConnectLove a compelling opportunity for anyone looking to back a high-growth consumer technology company at the earliest stage, with meaningful government-backed downside protection.
Why ConnectLove Exists
Dating in the UK is broken. Not because people have stopped wanting relationships, but because the tools they are using are not designed to help them find one.
Tinder, Hinge, and Bumble are built around photo-first swiping. Their business models depend on keeping users engaged on the platform for as long as possible — the longer you stay single and active, the more revenue they generate. There is no commercial incentive for them to improve match quality.
Match rates on swipe-based platforms average 0.6%. The average user swipes 800 times to secure a single date. 63% of men under 30 are currently single. The UK fertility rate has fallen to its lowest level on record.
ConnectLove was built to change this.
How ConnectLove Works
Every ConnectLove user completes a compulsory compatibility questionnaire before they can be matched with anyone. The questionnaire covers values, relationship intentions, lifestyle preferences, long-term goals, and attachment orientation. Our AI matching engine then synthesises these responses alongside the user's full profile to recommend partners who are genuinely compatible — not just physically attractive.
There is no free tier. Users purchase time-based access passes, which means everyone on the platform has paid to be there and is serious about finding a relationship. Selfie verification confirms every user is who they say they are.

Where We Are Today
ConnectLove launched its web application in late 2025. The full platform is operational: compatibility matching, AI recommendations, selfie verification, payment processing via CCBill and SSV SmartPay, in-app gifting, and user management. The entire platform was built by one person, from incorporation to fully operational, in seven months.
This week, Android went live on Google Play. iOS is with Apple for review. HMRC has confirmed SEIS status — meaning investors who back us can claim back half of their investment against their income tax bill and pay no capital gains tax on any profit they make when they exit.
The Opportunity for Investors
We are raising £250,000 under SEIS, offering 12.5% equity at a pre-money valuation of £1,750,000.
The funds will drive our launch across all major UK cities, beginning with London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Cardiff, and Bournemouth in 2026, and expanding to national coverage within 24 months. Our go-to-market strategy is built around social media influencer partnerships and hosted launch events — a low-cost, high-impact model that puts ConnectLove directly in front of the people it was built for.
